More Money Than Before
When we last left Stan Lee, he had just signed a five year contract tying him to Marvel Comics until 1976. Marvel had made Stan possibly the highest paid employee of any comic book company of the time. This was due to a number of factors, including the defection of Jack Kirby to DC Comics and the sale of Marvel Comics itself to Cadence Industries.
